Victorian Ball 5 by LongStock Victorian Ball 5 by LongStock
I thought I should do a swooning one, as that seemed to be a popular thing for well-bred Victorian ladies to do. Of course, I wouldn't know well-bred if it kicked me in the nose. ;)

Photographer: My mother

:bulletred: Rules for using my stock are in my journal.

 I've played the heroine in not one, but TWO melodramas, and I've personally used this pose in both shows, along with the lines, "I swoon! I swoon!" :D Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane! :D

I love that you announce the swooning! I'll have to remember that next time I'm woozy. "I swoon! I swoon!"

It's particularly effective if you draw second "swoon" out, a bit, with a bit of a quaver in it...and be sure to stagger a bit, gracefully, so they know you mean it! ;)

They'd better know I'd mean it. It would not be at all ladylike to land flat on the ground. :giggle:

Absolutely not!!! You have to announce it properly, so that someone is prepared to catch you, if should actually keel over!

This is clearly a very particular and complicated sport. I'm going to have to practice before I get swoony in public.
LOL Now I've just pictured myself landing square on my cat during practice! :lmao:
